2017 Digital Nomad Retreats

The idea of working ‘freelance’ has been around since at least the year 1716, but I think it’s safe to say that the recent boom of jobs in creative and tech have given legitimacy to freelancing as a career. For a long time it seemed as though freelancers didn’t get the same type of respect as their in-office counterparts, sometimes missing out on job opportunities for seeming aloof or due to the assumption that they were not part of a community of professionals.

Well, I’m here to tell you that by being a location independent worker, you, my fellow freelancer, actually have access to a global community.

There are an ever-growing number of organizations and conferences that exist for the sole purpose of helping you build your location independent career. Attending these events is one way to break away from the monotony of working solo and forcing yourself to socialize; but it's also a great way to meet like-minded people and make new business connections.

September 2017

DNX – Digital Nomads Conference

• 9 – 10th Sept. | Lisbon, Portugal

Speakers (nomads) from all around the world will meet in Portugal together with DNX to inspire and motivate other nomadic entrepreneurs. You don’t want to miss one of the biggest workshop conferences with plenty of talks.
